Alfred T. Marciano, CPA

Managing Partner

Alfred Marciano concentrates his practice in corporate and personal tax planning, management consulting, corporate audits and estate tax planning. His expertise in these areas, especially estate tax planning, is matched only by his commitment to building strong relationships with our clients, both as businesses and individuals. Thanks to the trust and friendship he creates in these relationships, many of which have endured for decades, our clients often request that he serve as a trustee or executor for family trusts and estates.

Al also brings his expertise in financial and retirement planning to his position as the Chairman of the City of Warwick Municipal Retirement Board. He has testified as an Expert Witness for the Rhode Island Family Court and Rhode Island Superior Court. He also serves on the Gateway Healthcare Board of Governors, and on the Boards of various other civic and religious organizations.

Al enjoys spending his free time with his three grown children and their families.

William F. Charland, CPA

Partner

William Charland concentrates his practice in professional partnership firms, mainly physicians and attorneys. He is an expert on the complexities of partnership taxation. In addition, he is often asked by our clients to moderate their partnership annual meetings and mediate in business negotiations, thanks to his gift for bringing all parties together to find a mutually beneficial resolution.

Bill received his mediation training and certificate directly from the Rhode Island Family Court. He provides pro bono services to a long list of non-profits and charities, including local youth athletic associations, war veteran groups, breast cancer and cystic fibrosis foundations, scholarship funds and his alma mater, Bishop Hendricken High School, for which he is a past president of the Alumni Association and Hall of Fame inductee.

In his free time, Bill is a keen tennis player and competitive runner. He placed first in his age group in the 2016 Eastern Regional Masters Track & Field Indoor Championships in the 200 meter and the 400 meter events. He and his wife Paula live in Scituate. He is a devoted father and grandfather to a large family.

Christine M. McLacken, CPA

Partner

Christine McLacken joined the firm in 1994. With 30+ years experience in tax preparation and planning for businesses and individuals, she concentrates her practice in corporate and personal accounting, tax preparation, and tax planning for a wide range of clients and industries.

In addition to her experience and knowledge, Christine considers her ability to listen as one of the greatest values she offers her clients. She always seeks to create relationships where clients are comfortable reaching out to ask any question.

Away from the office, Christine and her husband John love Rhode Island’s performing arts scene and regularly attend performances at Trinity Repertory Company, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Theatre by the Sea and many more. Chris and John reside in East Providence.

Richard D. Morrocco, Jr.

Partner

Richard Morrocco joined the firm in 1987 as one of our very first new hires. With decades of experience in corporate and personal tax and financial planning, as well as corporate and non-profit reviews and audits, he now concentrates his practice in Estate Tax and estate planning. He has taken clients through the entire estate process from initial planning to final settlement of the estate, and is deeply committed to the trust and personal connection developed in these years long client relationships.

Richard, his wife Patty and sons Austin and Jonathan live in Cranston. Richard enjoys a range of athletic activities including fitness and golf.
